and phenomena which shape our planet and our lives. EPOD will collect and
archive photos, imagery, graphics, and artwork with short explanatory
captions and links exemplifying features within the Earth system. The
community is invited to contribute digital imagery, short captions and

   Shown above is a spectacular, multilayered  accessory cloud I
   observed at sunset over the  Teide and  Pico Viejo volcanoes,
   from  Teide National Park (Canary Islands), Spain. Strong winds
   forced moisture-laden air up the slopes of the 12,198 ft (3,781 m)
   Teide volcano, resulting in these breathtaking  lenticular clouds
   and  cap clouds, known locally as  sombrero del Teide. Photo
   taken on October 20, 2020.
